about me

Hey there! I’m Salma. I’m originally from Wisconsin, but I now have the honor and blessing of attending Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I have been a photographer for 7 years now and it truly is my favorite thing in the whole world. I consider all that I am and all that I’ve accomplished nothing short of the Lord’s blessing and grace over my life. With everything I create, I strive to give him all the honor and glory. Whether it’s a wedding I’m shooting for, branding shoot, worship set in a church service, or I simply had a fun idea and wanted to execute it; I consider it my greatest joy and blessing to be able to do what I love most, for the One I love most.

my “why”

I think there is something so beautiful and sweet about capturing a moment to “freeze” it in time. It allows us to look back and remember that exact moment, being able to revisit and be brought back to all the emotions felt at that very second of the shutter. On a more personal level, for me, I think there is something so powerful about remembrance. The Lord loves to move through our remembrance, and in our darkest hour, the Lord can use our memory to be our greatest weapon. Taking photos has become more than just a hobby for me, but also a way I have been able to freeze moments in time in order to later revisit and remind myself of where I’ve been and how the Lord has carried me. My prayer is that in whatever I’m blessed to be able to capture for you, you’ll be able to do the same.
